English (British)A cooperative is a business entity whose members are individuals or cooperative legal entities, basing its activities on cooperative principles and as a people's economic movement founded on the family principle.

— Objective of a Cooperative
Bahasa IndonesiaKoperasi bertujuan memajukan kesejahteraan anggota pada khususnya dan masyarakat pada umumnya serta ikut membangun tatanan perekonomian nasional dalam rangka mewujudkan masyarakat yang maju, adil, dan makmur berlandaskan Pancasila dan Undang-Undang Dasar 1945.
English (British)A cooperative aims to advance the welfare of its members in particular and of society in general and to help build the national economic order to realise an advanced, just and prosperous society based on Pancasila and the 1945 Constitution.

— Cooperative Principles
Bahasa Indonesia(1) Koperasi melaksanakan prinsip Koperasi sebagai berikut: a. keanggotaan bersifat sukarela dan terbuka; b. pengelolaan dilakukan secara demokratis; c. pembagian sisa hasil usaha dilakukan secara adil sebanding dengan besarnya jasa usaha masing-masing anggota; d. pemberian balas jasa yang terbatas terhadap modal; dan e. kemandirian.
English (British)(1) A cooperative applies the following cooperative principles: a. voluntary and open membership; b. democratic management; c. distribution of surplus proportionate to each member's business transactions; d. limited return on capital; and e. independence.
