Article 1 — The Financial Sector

Sektor Keuangan adalah kumpulan institusi, pasar, dan infrastruktur, beserta ketentuan dan mekanisme yang memfasilitasi transaksi keuangan serta intermediasi antara pemilik dan pengguna dana dalam perekonomian.

The financial sector is the collection of institutions, markets and infrastructure, together with the rules and mechanisms that facilitate financial transactions and intermediation between owners and users of funds in the economy.

Article 2 — Principles

Pengembangan dan penguatan sektor keuangan diselenggarakan berdasarkan antara lain asas kepentingan nasional, kepastian hukum, kemanfaatan, independensi, keterbukaan, dan pelindungan konsumen.

The development and strengthening of the financial sector is conducted on principles including the national interest, legal certainty, usefulness, independence, openness and consumer protection.

Tujuan

Pengembangan dan penguatan sektor keuangan bertujuan antara lain meningkatkan akses dan inklusi keuangan, memperkuat kelembagaan dan tata kelola otoritas sektor keuangan, serta melindungi kepentingan konsumen dan masyarakat guna menjaga stabilitas sistem keuangan.
