Since 17 April 2012

Our Story: From a Consulting Room to a Legal Knowledge Ecosystem

INKRAH.com was founded in Jakarta on 17 April 2012. What began as a legal consultancy receiving clients in a physical office has grown, milestone by milestone, into an institute that unites legal practice, independent research, publishing and technology.

  1. Founded as a legal consultancy

INKRAH opens its doors in Jakarta as a legal consultancy without a website: clients are received in person at the office for legal opinions, contract drafting and business licensing.

  2. A dedicated Legal Division

A Legal Division is formed under the Head of Legal, combining day-to-day advisory work with structured legal research and regulatory analysis. Head of Legal

  3. inkrah.com goes online

At the initiative of the Head of Legal, the website inkrah.com is launched, opening the institute’s research and services to clients beyond the consulting room.

  4. INKRAH Law

INKRAH Law is launched: a free, bilingual library of legislation — Indonesian statutes and, increasingly, the laws of other jurisdictions such as the United States — presented article by article in the original language beside an unofficial translation, each with a short key-subject summary and a link to the official source. Disclaimer: the English and other translations are unofficial and are provided for study only; readers should always verify the authentic text and its current validity with the official source. INKRAH Law

  5. INKRAH Web Design

A web design division is established. It grows rapidly, from company profiles and portals to bespoke enterprise systems and custom ERP software at international scale. INKRAH Web Design

  6. Jurnalindo Hukum

INKRAH launches Jurnalindo Hukum, an open-access journal of Indonesian legal scholarship written in Indonesian. Jurnalindo Hukum

  7. INKRAH Legal Defence

INKRAH begins defending clients across the law: criminal defence and defence pleas (pledoi), pre-trial review, defending defendants in civil and commercial suits, insolvency, employment and administrative disputes, through to appeal. Legal Defence

  8. Berita Hukum

Legal news in Indonesian, explaining regulations and court decisions for the general public. Berita Hukum

  9. INKRAH Commentary

More Than 53,000 Jobs Gone, What Indonesia Must Protect

Indonesia has recorded more than 53,000 reported job losses between January and August 2026, exposing mounting pressure on workers, employers and the country's social protection system. Beyond severance and employment rights, workers facing termination need reliable access to JHT and JKP, healthcare, housing and basic living support without falling prey to unofficial intermediaries demanding excessive commissions. The deeper test is whether Indonesia can protect workers' dignity and long term security while tackling the economic pressures driving companies to cut jobs.

Peace Without Power, Lula Confronts the UN's Greatest Dilemma

Lula’s warning at the United Nations exposes a troubling gap between the promise of collective security and the grim reality of modern warfare. His call for stronger international action raises fundamental legal, economic, social and moral questions about how the world can restrain aggression while protecting the rights of those under attack. A truly credible peace system may require more than diplomacy, it may require the lawful authority and practical capability to stop wars before humanity pays an even heavier price.

Legal Certainty: The Bedrock of Sustainable Enterprise

Every resilient business enterprise, private investor, or public institution rests upon an unyielding legal foundation. Long before commercial contracts are executed, investments disbursed, or disputes submitted to judicial review, legal certainty, proactive compliance, and informed advisory act as defensive shields that mitigate existential liability and preserve capital.

Modern legal ecosystems are marked by regulatory fluidity, evolving statutory regimes, cross-border digital transactions, and heightening administrative oversight. Operating within this landscape requires legal strategies that combine technical jurisprudence with astute commercial pragmaticism. Whether structuring complex corporate mergers, drafting cross-border joint ventures, recovering non-performing accounts, or asserting rights in courtroom proceedings, precision remains non-negotiable.

At INKRAH.com, we synthesise independent legal research with transactional and contentious legal practice. Our objective extends beyond immediate dispute resolution: we strive to build sustainable compliance frameworks, protect legal rights, and foster sustainable commercial growth.
